How do I get a scholarship?
Students are automatically considered for most university scholarships, including the Go Blue Guarantee, and do not need to apply for them separately. Most private scholarships are applied for at the same time as your application.
If you think you might need financial aid to come to the University of Michigan, or would like to be considered for grants or merit scholarships, you’ll want to fill out the CSS Profile and FAFSA before March 1, as early as possible.
When do I find out if I received a scholarship?
Scholarships from the University of Michigan are administered by the Office of Financial Aid and most recipients are notified by April 15. While you’re at Michigan you’ll have even more opportunities to find scholarships, fellowships and work-study.
